Spring break is coming soon for Volusia and Flagler school students and staff, while area hotels have already rolled out the red carpet for visitors.

Wodapalooza is part of the city's plan this year to rebrand Miami Beach in March as a fitness destination, rather than a party hotspot.

"We've been to Miami Beach before when it was crazy, and we like it a lot more now," said Laasya Vemparala, noting the smaller crowds.

Panama City Beach has struggled with its spring break reputation through the decades, leading to new rules and a vigilant law enforcement community.
